Hi guys, i'm Étienne from France, i'm looking for advices to get the right soft boots carving board.

I'm 6'2'' (192cm) 179 lbs (85kgs) with size 12 boots, my angles are 27°/9°. I don't remember m' stance but I like it pretty wide.

I curently ride a Dupraz 6'3'' (193cm) as my only board.

1310mm effective edge length, 280mm waist width, 10,5m sidecut radius.

Hey @etiennefrance, welcome!

So JJA and Coiler are the only builders making wide titanal freecarve boards right now.  In fact, Coiler is all but shut down as Bruce is retiring.

There are a few used boards in the For Sale section below.  The best value is the Coiler #2, mid stiff Contra 169.  I liked this board so much that I had Bruce make me an exact replica.  The new one just arrived so I'm selling the old one.  It's in excellent condition, I only ordered the new one because, like I said, Bruce is retiring and I wanted one last Coiler.

Coiler #3 is also a great board with only a few days on it, but it might be a hair too stiff for you, unless you're an expert level carver.  I think it wants a heavier rider.  It was too stiff for me at 160 lbs but I liked it a lot in good conditions (there's video in the for sale listing)

I think both the C4 protos are sold, I'll know for sure tomorrow.   The next batch of C4s will be available for sale within a few weeks for delivery in late February or March.  They're gonna be pricey though, probably 2400 CAD.

Jasey is coming to Revelstoke in a few weeks with a whole new batch of prototypes.   Some of these will be sold after testing, in about a month.  Most or all of them of them are Asymmetrical though,  for Goofy riders only.  These will be priced according to performance,  we're trying some wild designs.

There is one brand new JJA Asym Goofy in the for sale section right now.  It's a 166 with a 294mm waist in a soft flex.  This would be a good choice too, a bit slower and tighter turning than any of the others.  Maybe quite suitable if it's crowded where you ride, it's not too soft for 185lb rider, especially if you're at the intermediate or advanced level.

One last recommendation: get yourself some Flow Bindings.  The rear entry system doesn't have a heelcup so they're the lowest profile binding anywhere, and with size 12 boots you're gonna need the extra room to avoid booting out on any carving board.

Thanks for posting!  Feel free to ask any other questions about the boards (or anything).  Let us know whether you're goofy or regular and what your current carving level is.

I'm just slaying...
