JJA TCX 166 16m sidecut, 300mm waist: $1100 CAD plus shipping
JJA TCX 164 12m sidecut 290mm waist: $1200 CAD plus shipping
Both are only suitable for advanced carvers who weigh at least 190lbs

Yeah, this one's not for everybody... Grab one of the "working title" boards from the store, these are much more friendly and can be ordered with custom stiffness according to your weight, ability, and preference.

Would be super interesting to try that back to back with my 300mm waist Contra 164 16m sidecut. Mine is 7.6 flex on Coiler scale. Wonder how that compares.

Impossible to say. Coiler flex metrics are model specific and since you have the only board of that model in existence, there's no baseline for comparison.
Educated guess: the JJAs are probably more than a little stiffer.

This is a text message I got yesterday from Fred E who bought the 164:
"The Donek Aloha just became my all mountain board. 
Smoothest carving I've ever done, today. That was a lot of fun!!!
I see what you mean though. This board is a beast! Gotta be heavy and strong for this board. I'm beat! Blues were amazing the pencil line blew my mind.
I hit some blacks later on and conditions were already a bit variable, so it was a bit more cautious carving, like I'm used to from the east coast. Did great in that to, though a few washouts here and there. Tomorrow morning I'll get on the blacks first thing. I think I got this!
Feb 11th was the first day I changed to posi posi because of your video.
My riding has improved tenfold since then.
Now this board....
Looking forward to the next one. I think for me that will be the playful one.
