Are binding straps interchangeable?
I love my aluminum Ride bindings. I hate my toe straps. Are toe straps interchangeable at all? Is mix-matching across brands a thing?
@justmehere Yes they are! But not universally...
You have to make sure the buckle works with the ladder, and you have to make sure that the way the two parts attach to the baseplate is at least close enough to hold without too much modification.
Take off your toe straps and ladders and bring it all (binding too) into your local shop and see what's compatible. Some light modification may be required, but maybe not!
Sometimes you can even mount a different toe strap but keep the fixed plastic part that connects the toestrap to the binding base plate (the adjustable ladder-like plastic tongue).

@wild-cherry thanks.
Before I do that, I'm wondering if you have a suggestion on how to address this issue. The strap digs deep into the pinky toe. See photo.
@justmehere Post some photos please. Ride bindings should have quite a few adjustment points.

@justmehere I need more angles please. Can't see what's going on.
At first glance I would say the bindings look too big. Some bindings you can choose between two mounting positions for the toe strap, I can't see if there's another option on these. If there's room, you can tighten up the fixed side so the pressure isn't on your pinky toe, and/or reverse the strap entirely so the buckle opens the other way.
First thing to check though is whether there's another mounting position available for the toe strap or whether you can move the heelcup forward to create space to readjust the toe strap. Toe strap looks tight without much room to adjust the fixed side, that's why I say the binding might be too big. Also because the strap wraps the entire toe of the boot.
Swapping that strap for an over-the-toe model will also help reduce your overhang and therefore your boot out. This is better for carving.

What do you love about the Ride Bindings?
I tried the C9’s a couple years ago and they reminded me of my Preston bindings from the 90’s. Very old school. Both straps were terrible.

I have both A9 and A10 bindings in Large for my 29.0 boots. Both are '23 year model. They are solid binding and do what they are supposed to without frills (like all-day comfort). The ankle straps are fine, but I could see them causing issues for certain boots. The toe straps are very basic, even for these high-end models. The 10's have some slits in the toe straps, the 9's do not. Honestly, I don't get the "toe cap" thing and I ride with my straps over the top. I gives me just as much support without the worry of dragging my ratchets on toe side turns. As James mentioned, these might be a touch too long for your boot, but you might be able to remount the cam (or whatever the slider goes into) on the strap so that the ratchet doesn't sit in an uncomfortable position. For consideration...
