Experiences snowboarding with UCPA
I did a ski trip with UCPA some 12-ish years ago to Val Thorens with coaching half-time. From what I heard and experienced all of their ski instructors are excellent. Reflecting back maybe I would say that the instructor I got wasn't the best for carving, but we also did mostly mogul and powder riding as we got lots of snow each night.
I'm more skeptical about how good the snowboard coaching is, especially with regards to posi-posi carving. So I'm just asking to see if any of you have experience?
Specifically I'm considering another trip to Val Thorens since I'll most likely go by myself as I can't seem to trick my friends to go on two trips in one season...
Looking at the Freeride World Tour competition that was held in Val Thorens yesterday, yeah, I'd say you probably get to ride powder more than anything else over there. A lot of athletes fell because there was just too much powder!

@emilecantin From experience you get mostly moguls in the pistes near the top as the snow gets tracked out pretty quickly and they don't have time to groom all slopes overnight, there are just too many pistes.
The areas between the pistes are also full of rocks that you will hit despite the 6m yearly snowfall, so you need a rock board or risk a core shot if you venture between pistes, unfortunately.
But the riding is insanely good. I would recommend anyone Les 3 Vallées. Being 100% above the tree line as you are in the Val Thorens valley is also an almost surreal experience, especially on bluebird days.
I was mostly curious if anyone had experience with the snowboard instructors.
PS. I bookmarked that stream to watch it after work. It looks epic.
Oh wow, what a run from Noémie Equy!
