Feedback and ideas are much appreciated.  Turns out this was harder than expected.

Also looking for volunteers who know how to make the improvements and solve the glitches.

Please post in this thread.

Thanks,

James

Hey James ! I like your new site I think it’s good like it is. I wouldn’t change a thing for now. Congratulations on the site anyway, definitely a great place for newbie carvers to learn new stuff and share informations.

Need to sort out how to insert photos into post, not just 'attach' as they do currently in the family pics thread.

Is there a way to set a default that subscribes you to any threads you post on?  Doesn't seem like.  Need to 'subscribe to this topic' when adding a reply it looks like.

Noticed that, thanks.  Martina was the first to try to embed a photo.  Web Dev has been alerted.

Great to see you here Slabber!  You too @i8Summer!

Notifications don't seem to clear by just opening them. "Clear all" worked fine though. I'm using Waterfox in case it might be browser related.

I'm very happy to see the "Carving technique" section. I'll post some short vids about deep duckfoot carving there later once I find the energy to do some edits. Thanks James!

The edit time should be quite a bit longer. I tried to edit the photo links of my post in "Carving Switch" topic but the edit time ran out before I got it right. I posted another reply with the photos attached instead of Google Photos links but would be nice to be able to edit those to the relevant post. Also if people upload all their photos to the forum, that will take a lot of space so just something to consider. Thanks!

What would you look for specifically in a telegram group.

My question is whether there is a search function for this forum. For example, I thought I saw that there was going to be a discussion about comparison between a Donek Saber and another board. Not sure if that was ever posted, but it would be nice to be able to search for things.

Thanks!

Dan

Thanks. And I was also thinking the profile section might have a field where, if you wanted, you could put some details about the board you ride, region you ride in, and the like. It is a gear focused sport, and there are few good sources to ask questions or learn from others. That's why I'm excited about this forum!

Dan

PS - Was a discussion of Saber posted?
