VICROY GLOVES
I actively try not to touch the snow, but my gloves tend to look a bit ratty by the end of the season. I've been watching this site for a while, but just noticed that on the main page they had pre-orders in June:

Is anyone using their gloves?
It says their Japanese sizing is smaller than American, but then their measurements are actually similar to Burton... so I've ordered the same sizing. I'm hoping they actually fit (cost was about $200 CAD for the Deep, including shipping).

These look sweet! Nothing really lasts for carving though, when the surface gets icy it's like grinding your mitts with a rough stone. I highly recommend protecting your brand new pricy purchase with some PMC. We're not stocking it in the store anymore, it's a low margin item and we can't compete. But you can buy it from Amazon.

Not for knuckle draggers like you! 🤣
These actually have a slippery (plastic?) surface on the palm. The leather is on the inside:
If they're as good as people say they are, maybe you could look into being a NA distributor in the future?

I have a plan to bring in mittens under my own house brand next year. We didn't get to it in time this season but I want to find some reasonably priced, decent quality, well designed mitts and bring a few cases home for dipping.
I got these Obereg mitts last season from a Russian friend. Average mitten, but with the coating it lasted me all season and you can barely tell that it's used at all. These are handmade by one of the Russian extremecarvers, I think they all use 'em. I would love to support the man and bring them to Canada but sanctions make that difficult to impossible. Apparently there's some kind of "special military operation" happening on Russia's western border and Canada does not approve...
Anyway, I figure, we don't need expensive mittens of the highest quality and most durable materials, we only to coat an average mitten and it will last most riders almost forever. The PMC is available in 5 gallon pails...
Having said all that, I am interested to see your new mitts. I looked at these a few seasons ago but decided on buying multiple sets of a cheaper mitt on sale instead.

@board-doctor I use these gloves, and they’re awesome! However, the leather tips and thumbs tend to wear out from the abrasion of the snow. I've been in contact with the owners and suggested creating a model with full coating for improved durability. From what I know, they’re working on it.
Here’s a picture of my favorite Vicroy gloves, which have been through a lot of icy groomers. In the meantime, I plan to coat the tips and thumbs of the mittens with PMC 746, which should make them virtually indestructible.
They have the Boost Pro now, which has the plastic going out to the tips:

They're probably not that flexible though, and I tend to ride with fists (less likely to break fingers). I'm not regularly putting my hands down, so hopefully they last.
I'd say the sizing is similar to Burton and they fit me well. Note that there isn't a goggle wipe on the thumb (which let me down in the freezing fog this morning).
