Thanks for having me!

For fellow Ontarians, I've created a topic post to find locals to shred with!

We can ride together and share some tips!

Im based from Boler Mountain in London, but am in the Collingwood area most weekends. Also do trips to Japan, the USA and the west of Canada during the season!

Ride on Homies! 🤙

I lived in London for a while and I went to Boler ONCE!  On the first run I got up to speed, did a few turns and was back at the bottom.  A liftie came running over yelling "whoa, whoa, whoa, slow down!".  I thought he was joking at first.  That was back around 2000 and I was carving on a directional twin... and with around 200' of vertical I probably only got up to 30kph.

I use to hike Chicopee before snowboards were allowed anywhere.

Glen Eden was probably my fav in that area, but it was really worth it to drive up north.

@board-doctor the new part of the resort that opened a few years ago makes it somewhat worthwhile if you're local. Can squeeze in like 6 turns now lol. Sounds like you've been around a while, cool stories cheers

Hilarious!  I rode Boler too!  Did my undergrad at Western.

Only spent a few days there on my Factory Prime.  I remember three turns at least.

I'm just slaying...

Shouldn't you be in ORT on Facebook what are ya doin here haha. The majority of the Ontario Carvers ride Mount St. Louis Moonstone. If you ever want to link up and dig some trenches that's the place to do it!

I’m a local at Chicopee with a pass to Moonstone.

Mostly ride softboot, but to have an alpine board I’m trying to figure out.

There are definitely a lot of Alpine riders at Moonstone.

Does Chicopee still get a big pond at the base of the north end in the spring?  We were inspired by James Bond in a View to a Kill, and those were some really great times.  I mostly skied there with the high school ski club, which was a good time too.  I remember some of the members had a real country club vibe with their designer jackets, goggles etc… which was really funny as it was rumoured to have been a garbage dump.

@board-doctor They have reshaped the hill a bit so now there are a couple small kiddy pools not full sized ponds.

I’m not sure on its history, I’m not from the region. It is currently heavily protected under the GRCA. I know a little on their future as I teach snowboarding there, so I get the odd update.

It was just a funny rumour that wasn’t true.  The GRCA is great.  My parents were the conservation chairmen of an old camping & hiking club, so we did a lot of volunteer work with them.  I think there should be more groups like that protecting other watersheds & river systems.  There’s just too much corruption in politics, with only a 4 year time horizon.  But I digress… no politics here.

Ottawa here.

Ride at Mount Pakenham, our local bump of a hill about 25mins from our home.  It's an awesome family oriented resort.  Had a great season this year, 12 y.o. daughter was a Teachers Assistant for the ski school this season.

Planning a trip out west in a couple weeks - will post up a separate thread for that.

@slabber I grew up in Kingston, Pakenham and Calabogie were the closest hills. Calabogie was more our go to, with Pakenham for a change of pace from time to time.

Hi! I regularly ride at Mount St. Louis Moonstone. Weekends only. Purchased gold pass just so I can beat the weekend crowd to first chair. Generally great snow condition there; the only down side is both the terrain and snow is man made. I guess you can really say it's a "controlled environment".

@reximus I got a Bronze last year to just run in the quieter times. This year I have Silver to reduce the blackouts, but still no weekends.
