@wild-cherry, very impressive picture of all the boards, I am kind of upset while waiting to setup the board. I assume the board will just arrive in time, because the ski areas here in Austria open with the beginning of December .. 😀

I know these were expected months ago. Thank you for your patience.
I don't know what else to tell you, the construction schedule was beyond my control. Rest assured that the boards will perform as expected and know that you will have the best soft boot freecarving board on the planet very soon.

@vospegmx-at Honestly it's not the sort of board that you want to take out before the New Year (at least here) in fear of land sharks. Moreover, even Jeremy Jones has said that he used the Freecarver 6000 early season to warm up for the 9000. And that's Jeremy Jones! I think this is probably more board than a FC12000 would be. I'm not even sure if I got my Stranda Shorty out before February last year, but El Nino was defintely low tide and I am getting old.

This whole interview is great, but his bit on leveling up is 14 minutes in:
I'm anxious, but I know that I'm not ready to hop on a C4 out of the gate.

@board-doctor I can't wait to take out my Freecarver 9000. I got the 160 with maximum effective edge. I may take out my Moss Snowstick Wing Swallow 149 for a few warm-up runs but I am definitely looking forward to the big Freecarver. When I feel confident on that I may opt for a JJA if they are still available for order. BTW Jeremy Jones threw some praise at JJA in his book "Shralpinism."
Craig Kelly is my co-pilot...
@wild-cherry I hope I didn't express myself incorrectly, but I'm very happy, the waiting time isn't a problem, it's simply amazing that an attempt is made to solve a technical snowboard bottleneck and that it's liked by the world - waiting is an important part 😉
@board-doctor maybe another misunderstanding, which is due to my positive excitement, my first ride won't be with the C4, first build up feeling (Knapton Twin), then new binding (NX2, already in my hand incredible boot/binding ration ~1), build up feeling again and maybe the C4 won't come until the new year... and land sharks. I got it
@vospegmx-at Maybe you're blessed with better snow and a longer season than we are. Big White is pretty rocky and we often open with a "white ribbon of death". I like to see at least a 100cm base before I ride a board that I actually care about. I've had a few seasons that I've only went out in December just to get the kids back on the hill before their lessons started in the new year. But it's highly variable. A few years ago I hiked up in October and there was more snow than we usually see in December. But yeah, I share your excitment for getting back on a board! I've been stuck inside recovering from covid again, so I've already got cabin fever!

Glad to hear that! In English, "upset" can mean sad or angry, or just disappointed. I know everybody would be psyched to be waxing and mounting up their boards right now. I'm also waiting on a new Asym custom from Jasey Jay, but I did receive a couple free sets of Flow NX-2 Carbon Hybrid bindings worth more than all the money I made from YouTube last season so I'm psyched about that.
It's also true what @board-doctor said, I don't ride my best boards until all the rocks are well covered, and despite my pre-season training I won't be ready for the new Asym until Christmas. It's a 175 with a 14m sidecut radius. Stiff and fast, unforgiving by design for some added intensity! Not the biggest board I've ever had, but it's no C4 either...

Just got my C4 and it’s gonna be hard looking at it until the moment is right to bust it out…

Effin' awesome!!!

@board-doctor I know how you feel, I’m super excited to ride, my C4 is being delivered on Friday - decided to head up to Loveland Basin and pick up my pass and do some first tums - bringing a few “rock” boards - and both hard and soft boots. Hope to stay off the land sharks and carve some nice trenches. The groom at Loveland is pretty fantastic with the new fleet of Piston Bully machines. Hope you all have a great riding season.
Oh My - snow was great - demo day and the crowd was insane - one run open and the groom was destroyed in 30 min. Maybe wait a couple more weeks

A couple more weeks??? You have a lot of patience my friend... I don't think I could hold a new board that long unless the coverage was very thin.

@wild-cherry hopefully a few more runs will open and it will be safe to carve big turns. There were a lot of ski racers on the hill hauling ass and just too dangerous to carve.
