Hi all,

Could anyone recommend bindings for a Jones Flagship (or universally any board) that would accommodate posi/posi stance with degrees of +30 or more in the front foot without the high back interfering with my front leg movement? I’m currently using Cartel X bindings, but I’m facing issues with the high back blocking my inner calve. My highback rotation is currently maxed out…..

I can’t remember how far the Burton Re:flex will rotate, I’ve just got them on a surfy powder board now.

Here’s a pic of a couple bindings at 21 degrees…

The Rome Cleaver are maxed out. The Flux CV are in as far as they’ll go on the lateral side/front, but there’s another hole to move the medial/rear out.

Both of these bindings have a higher ankle strap and good support like the Burton.

The Rome have a medium sized disk for a bit more board feel and lateral mobility like the Burton mini/reflex disk, but better drive (there’s really nothing to the Burton base). They’re very comfy, but I wish the Cleaver highback wasn’t so stiff. I’d probably prefer the DOD, but wanted the pivot mount for my instep. Bataleon use the same (full wrap) chassis, with better straps (infinity). These may not provide enough rotation for you though.

I really like the Flux CV and CV-ltd on my carvers. Higher heel cup for response & clearance, softer highback for mobility.  The newer footon footbed is 4mm thicker, but it’s still all plastic.  The newer bases have some bushings at the corners so they’re not quite as locked in and harsh as they use to be, but I don’t know if I’d put it on a freeride board. The LTD has noticeably more response (less of a flex/surfy feel).
