Priorities for responsiveness
I’ve got chicken legs and often get additional EVA foam glued to the inside of the tongue (between the tongue and liner). You could do this yourself, but I’ve always just used the boot fitter at he hill because they’re great and only charge $20 cash. Just make sure you taper the edge so it’s not abrupt.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions and feedback, I ended up with the Ride Lasso Pro Wides, which I will firm up with Trenched boot stiffeners and Strap-ins once James gets them in stock. I am going to stick with my Nidecker Supermatic bindings for now but am giving a serious look at the new Nidecker Supermatic Carbon or Flow NX-2 Carbon (James' fav), especially if I can find them at a discounted price. I am also looking at doing some mods on my Burton Ions such as an Intuition boot liner, so I have a backup in case I have a BOA malfunction with the new boots. Mt. Fuji finally has some snow which means that winter is coming fast!
Craig Kelly is my co-pilot...
