What the hell did I buy here?
Posted by: @board-doctorSeeing a physiotherapist and getting some exercises and stretching really helps. I hadn’t realized that my dorsiflexion was limited, check this thread:
https://carversconnection.com/community/general-snowboarding-carving-discussions/how-far-is-your-dorsiflexion/#post-472I now use that prostretch at least twice a day, every day. My plantar fasciitis is generally not a problem anymore. I really tense up when I ride if I don’t stretch first.
I used to get plantar fasciitis every time I ran long distances on concrete before I switched to barefoot shoes (like Vivobarefoot) for everyday use and more padded but still wider shoes for hard surfaces. Made a huge difference but it definitely takes some adjustment to avoid injury.

I'm starting to think something has got lost in translation here...

I didn't know what you meant, but it seems @board-doctor thought you had a problem with canted footbeds in your bindings so I went with that and suggested you don't need canted footbeds at such steep angles and could ride with just some front toe lift and rear heel lift (like 5mm to 7mm).
I'm just slaying...
