Which is easier Stranda Cheater or Korua Bullet Train Plus.
Snowboard choice.
I now have this at home:
1. Stranda Cheater, 170 W
2. Korua Bullet Train Plus, 160
3. Korua Pencil Plus, 164
Bindings
Union Atlas FC Carbon
Flow NX 2 Carbon Fusion
Trenched Canted Risers
Boot size EU 44
Posi/Posi: 30/15
I don't want to try so much now, for the last days of the season.
Which setup should I use so that I can practise carving?
I don't want to have to change bindings all the time.
Which board is easier to master?
The Stranda Cheater or the Korua Bullet Train Plus.
I mainly ride in Europe.
Austria and Germany.
PS: I won't mention my hardboot setup, I just torture myself with it.
I haven’t ridden any of those but was inclined to say the Cheater… but if you’re coming off a quality hardboot board the titanal and longer sidecut of the Bullet might be more familiar?
Big White, BC, Canada
@daniel-pesch Yeah, the Cheater with the Flow bindings and Trenched Canted Riser would be my choice. Nice quiver!
The Cheater is very stable with it's long effective edge. It turns very tightly (8m radius or close) but that serves to keep your speed down, within the comfort range of that board.
The Koruas are way shorter (in overall length, but even more so in effective edge) and they're not designed for C shape pencil line carves. They're fun for all mountain slashing though. And powder. Despite the marketing, these aren't "carving" boards in the way that any other manufacturers label them. By which I mean, all the other production board brands' carving boards are very similar to each other in shape, but not the Koruas. (Except Stranda, whom I applaud for taking the lead and making such long boards specifically for carving. Now if they only made them wider I might consider riding one again...)
I'm just slaying...
