1.) There is a gap between my shins and the liner, even after tightening the boa. Is that normal? How do I tighten the liners since there is no tightening mechanism around them?
2.) My feet are low volume so on the top/sides of my feet I feel there is some empty space between the liner and the boot -- I could tighten the Boa straps more but I have to loosen them after a while before my feet feel numb. Is there a model of liner that is thicker around those areas, or do I need to modify them with glue and extra foam?
3.) Is the stiffness/thickness of Intuition liners only affecting the shin area, not the foam surrounding the foot?

For 2. I don't know about liners that are thicker. Personally I wouldn't gamble and buy new ones because I'm cheap 🙂 ... But I successfully reduced the volume over my toes with a foam camping seat pad, a carpet knife and duct tape, description and images here. It worked really well for me. I was able to really snug up my boots (that are also a bit too long).

I’ve got this problem with my Insano and Intuition Race HD. I added some foam to the outside of the intuition tongue and also bought:

While this all helped, it still isn’t comfortable. I just don’t think the boa arrangement works for my high instep & chicken legs. I might try heat fitting the lower again to see if it’ll pack out some more. The response is the best… but I just can’t do it for more than a couple hours.
The boa arrangement on the Trident might be better, but I’m just not sure if Ride fits my feet. The current Vans Verse are WAY more comfy, but larger footprint and not as responsive.
